Children and Worship

Children are welcome in worship at St. Matthew's! We do all we can to make the worship experience comfortable and engaging for your family and your children. You can choose a contemporary (9:45am) or traditional (8:30 and 11:10am) worship experience. Whatever you choose, children are not expected to be quiet and to sit still all the time. It seems that's just not the way God made them.

Children's Corner

This welcoming space located in the back of the sanctuary is designed as a quiet activity area for children and their families. You will find books and coloring pages, tables and chairs just right for young children. Visit the Children's Corner and let us know what you think.

Children's Worship Packets

These packets are available for preschool and elementary aged children as you enter the Worship Center. They are perfect for quiet drawing or scribbling while sitting in the pew with Mom or Dad.

Cry Room

Located in the back of the Worship Center, you can hear and see the worship service while comforting a fussy child or changing a diaper.

Children's Sunday School

Sunday School is held at 9:45am for children age 3-5th Grade. . Our preschool class meets in the Education Wing. Elementary classes meet in the Children's Education Building (Annex) across the playground courtyard.  

Our Nursery

Our adult supervised nursery is available every Sunday morning from 8:30am - 12:30pm, with extended hours for congregational events. It is located in the Education Wing adjacent to Fellowship Hall, Room 609. Our Nursery Coordinator - Annelie Tamez.
