Worship
is at the center of the life of St. Matthews UMC. Each Sunday we come together ... from toddlers to seniors ... to lift our hearts in praise and find strength for the journey. The worship leaders and pastor offer thoughtful prayers, an engaging children's time, and solid Biblical messages to challenge and inspire. Dress for all services is traditional to casual.
The Sacrament of Holy Baptism for infants, children, and adults, as well as Wedding services, may be arranged with the pastor. Special worship services provide an opportunity to emphasize important seasons and holidays. These services are offered on Christmas Eve as well as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter morning. We invite everyone to join us as we experience the presence, power and love of God through worship. |
Each
Wednesday we gather for Praise and Worship followed by Bible Study. The service begins with uplifting contemporary
praise music led by our Wednesday Evening Praise Band, followed
by a twenty minute Bible Study from the pastor (currently on the Book of Revelations) and Holy Communion. Dress is casual.The
Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered at all services the first Sunday
of each month, as well as every Wednesday evening.
